Tayaçu, The brand new Yacht for fishing trips in the Barcelos, Amazon region. A very nice and confortable boat holding up to 14 fishermen with total confort and agility to cross the low waters during dry season, it´s draft(hull) has only 34 inches (85 cm ), this is what makes Tayaçu the best choice for reaching most promissing fishing spots at very low water levels where the big Yachts don´t dare to enter. There 6 rooms fully air conditioned , private bathrooms and showers, two rooms are queen size style beds and have more space to store your personal belongings.

The dinner room is also fully air conditioned with TV. The decks are provided with two big showers, a bar and resting chairs for your confort.
The boat has all safety equipment, VHF radios, GPS, Eco batimeter and a satellite phone (www.globalstar.com). Also we have a notebook on board for storage and DVD recorder of fishermen photos.

The Region – Undoubtly the Barcelos – Santa Isabel region is the most promissing region in the world for fishing the peacock bass, being the outnumbered reasons the number of tributaries, non existence of heavy commercial fishing, very difficult navigation and the conscientization of local people that the peacock bass is hundreds of times worthy alive than dead, commercial fishing was stopped at 1996 and only sub existence fishermen are allowed to fish on the negro basin and peacock are not the most wanted fish for commercial purposes.

Peacock Bass Expedition takes you where the fish is, at the most remote points of the most acknowledged fishing spots (Rio Negro, Padauiri, Aracá, Cuiuni, Caurés, Arirarrá, Urubaixi, Preto, Alegria, Uneiuxi among other lakes and tributaries). Our staff always bring someone from the local communities to get the feel of the place and situate all guides where there are more probabilities to get fish.
